Choosing a parking in Madrid's tourist areas
Madrid's tourist area is mainly around Puerta del Sol, a place we can use as a reference point. This area is within Madrid Central, or Central District as it has been recently named, a low-emission zone where parking will be most challenging if you decide to go with your own vehicle. If you have a vehicle without an environmental label, type A, because you have a gasoline car from before the year 2000 or a diesel car from before 2006, you will not be able to drive in this area. It is best to park outside the area and use public transport in this case.
